“The glitch” – A digital malfunction, embodied as a rupture tearing through the pixels across the screen. It is sudden and violent. A fleeting moment of ambiguity. Displacing what is familiar. A state where meaningful communication is disintegrated into noise. And then back.
The Garden of Failing Pixels is a part of a practice-based research project aiming to explore the fragile nature of the digital artifact (software, image-files etc.) and create a space where digital disruptions and glitches can be experienced interactively as space for reflection, rather then imposing noise.
The installation is both a physical experience at the exhibition and a digital experience available online.

The Garden of Failing Pixels är en del i ett praktikbaserat undersökande projekt som syftar till att utforska den digitala artefaktens ömtåliga natur (programvara, bildfiler m.m.) och att skapa ett utrymme där digitala störningar och fel kan upplevas interaktivt som ett utrymme för reflektion, snarare än ett påtvingat brus.
Installationen är både en fysisk upplevelse på utställningen och en digital upplevelse tillgänglig online.
