Nomadic Habitation is the result of an architectural and artistic investigation dealing with issues regarding the relationship of mankind with other non-human intelligence. The purpose of my degree project is, through a physical manifestation of ideas which take the shape of a caravan, to enhance different activities performed by the user through a longer journey.
The journey itself is a way to awaken curiosity, respect and a deeper connection with nature in various landscape typologies, with possibilities of finding new systems and also recreating those which have been forgotten.
The intention of the project is not advocating for everyone to abandon their current civilised way of living, but rather it is an opportunity to create discussion, expanding the view of our world and a way of being.
Nomadic Habitation är resultatet av en arkitektonisk och konstnärlig undersökning som behandlar frågor rörande mänsklighetens förhållande till annan icke-mänsklig intelligens. Syftet med examensarbetet är att genom fysisk manifestation av idéer som tar formen av en karavan förbättra olika aktiviteter som användaren tar del av under en lång resa.
Själva resan är ett sätt att väcka nyfikenhet, respekt och en djupare koppling till naturen i olika landskapstyper med möjlighet att hitta nya system och även återskapa de som har glömts bort.
Avsikten med projektet är inte att alla ska överge sitt nuvarande civiliserade sätt att leva på utan snarare är det en möjlighet att skapa diskussioner, utvidga synen på vår värld och vårt sätt att vara.
