Over time, artefacts have revealed themselves and carefully made their way to the surface of lake Vänern. I began by investigating this place and the artefacts I found around the former brickworks Margreteberg in Vänersnäs. One overarching objective of this project is to create new objects, where the materials themselves helps me shape a local story. By collecting and defining, I take care of the resources I have found. Rounded and warped shapes meet in a furniture, with possibility for additions. The stones were seen as defects without value and rejected, but survived for decades, tumbling around in the water of Vänern. The project results in objects for people. The furniture tells of a place-bound identity, industrial heritage, but in a new context to be experienced by other people.
Artefakter har med tiden uppenbarat sig varsamt och tagit sig till ytan vid Vänern. Utgångspunkt för detta arbete har varit att undersöka denna plats och dem artefakter jag hittat runt det tidigare tegelbruket Margreteberg vid Vänersnäs. Ett övergripande syfte med detta projekt är att åstadkomma nya objekt där materialet i sig får hjälpa mig att gestalta en lokal historia. Genom att samla och definiera, tar jag hand om dom resurser jag hittat. Runda och krokiga former får mötas i en möbel med eventuella tillägg. Tegelstenarna sågs som defekter utan värde och förkastades, men har överlevt decennier och tumlats i Vänerns vatten. Resultatet av projektet blir objekt för människor. Möblerna berättar om en platsbunden identitet, industriarv, men i en ny kontext att upplevas av andra människor.
