The hall and the corridor. In this project, I explore two different, but also similar, spaces. I search in the historical and the contemporary. Follow up changes and reprioritise. Try to give purpose to these somewhat sad spaces that are never a destination but just a part of the journey.
From the corridors of the 1800s to the functional halls of today, I take stock of their forms and functions. Borrow from the old and the new to create new ideas about what these might be. This series of objects is a result of this investigation, but also a part of it. They came about during a sort of conversation when I tried to break down these spaces. They interact with the visitor and invite you to enjoy a room that might otherwise be taken for granted.
Hallen och korridoren, i projektet utforskar jag två olika – men också lika rum. Jag letar i det historiska och kontemporära. Följer upp förändringar och omprioriterar. Försöker ge syfte till dessa aningen sorgliga mellanrum som aldrig är ett mål utan bara en del av resan.
Från 1800-tals korridorer till våra funkishallar inventerar jag dess funktioner och gestalter. Lånar från det gamla och det nya för att skapa nya idéer om vilka dessa kan vara. Denna serie objekt är ett resultat från undersökningen, men också en del av den. De tillkom under ett slags samtal när jag försökt bryta ner dessa rum. De interagerar med besökaren och bjuder in till att nyttja ett rum som annars kanske tas för givet.
