During the current pandemic, remote working has become a very topical subject and is affecting people all over the world. The effects of Covid-19 are discussed daily in the news, on social media and in private discussions, with human mental and physical health in focus. My degree project, Outdoor office, is grounded in the idea of working outdoors in nature as a complement to the ordinary workplace. In a society increasingly plagued by performance anxiety, depression and burnout, the goal is to develop a concept that contributes to wellbeing and reduced stress. An invitation to combine benefit with pleasure.
Activity, nature and movement have positive effects on our health, and this is why the surroundings and easily accessible breaks play a major role in my project. With sustainability, flexibility and maintenance prioritised, Outdoor Office is a service that a company can hire for its employees, a business model well suited to today’s society.
I en rådande pandemi är distansarbete ett extra aktuellt ämne som påverkar människor över hela världen. Dagligen diskuteras effekterna av covid-19 i nyhetsprogram, sociala medier och privata samtal med människans fysiska och psykiska hälsa i fokus. Mitt examensarbete Outdoor office grundar sig i idén att arbeta ute i naturen som ett komplement till den vanliga arbetsplatsen. I ett samhälle där prestationsångest, depression och utbrändhet är ett ökande problem, är målet att utveckla ett koncept som bidrar till välbefinnande och minskad stress. En uppmuntran att kombinera nytta med nöje.
Aktivitet, natur och rörelse påverkar vår hälsa till det bättre och just därför spelar omgivning och lättillgängliga pauser en stor roll i projektet. Med hållbarhet, flexibilitet och underhåll prioriterat är Outdoor office en tjänst som ett företag kan hyra till sina anställda, en affärsmodell som lämpar sig väl i dagens samhälle.
